Higher Education Faculty & Staff

North Dakota United’s higher education membership works every day to protect and advance the integrity of North Dakota’s 11 public institutions of higher learning and the working conditions of all faculty and staff employees of the North Dakota University System.

ND United Higher Education members represent all roles necessary to provide a rich, equitable education to ND college students, from administrators to adjunct faculty, counselors to program coordinators.

We work at community and technical colleges, four-year and research universities, and our state's tribal colleges. We fight for access and affordability, fair pay and the workplace conditions that support student learning, including academic freedom, tenure, racial and social justice, and more.

Together we have been able to fight off attacks on tenure, as well as cuts to health insurance, retirement plans, and state funding.

Stronger Together

All employees of public universities in North Dakota are eligible to join ND United. Membership dues are determined as a percentage of your gross salary, with a minimum and maximum amount paid monthly.
