North Dakota United is dedicated to providing researched-based, member-driven, relevant, high quality programs to advance skills, while providing a network for shared communication and leadership opportunities.

For the 2019-2020 school year, North Dakota United is changing up how we deliver professional development, with a focus on customized learning. Customized learning is based upon your individual wants and needs. This format will allow for participants to choose from multiple topics and themes, form an individually tailored plan, and access the professional development wherever and whenever works best for you.

NDU Professional Development Formats:

Book Studies: A variety of relevant topics to enhance professional skills and awareness are offered throughout the year. Typically a new book study begins each week. The format of the book studies enables communication and collaboration, along with an opportunity for self-directed learning. Please CLICK HERE for more information.

 

Elevating the Profession through Educator Ethics: This in-person training aims to maintain and exceed the model of education ethics and standards. Please CLICK HERE for more information.

 

Mini-Courses: Short duration trainings, typically less than 3 hours in length. Please CLICK HERE for more information.

 

NEA Micro-Credentials: Competency-based, on-demand, personalized, shareable professional development. Individual micro-credentials are typically organized into “stacks” of similarly themed topics. ParaSharp: Concise and relevant training to paraeducators in a format you can easily digest and apply. Used as just-in-time independent study, or as part of a broader staff training effort, ParaSharp helps educators become more effective. Please CLICK HERE for more information.

 

Trauma Informed Schools: A training toolkit of strategies that makes it easy to give all staff on campus critical information not only on ACEs and their impact, but also on practical and effective strategies to build a trauma-informed culture of care. Please CLICK HERE for more information.
