As a library media specialist, each week Olivia Dwyer works face to face with over 500 students in her K-3 school in Watford City.

That’s a tall order, but now imagine having to reach that same number of students through technology while adding parents and coworkers to the list.

Dwyer says that’s what’s happened since schools closed down in North Dakota in mid-March. She says her day involves lots of emails asking for help with technology and more.

One thing that’s remained the same, is her desire, along with her coworkers, to do what’s best for students and provide the best distance education possible.

Next week, we’ll hear from Watford city Band Director Matthew Page.

He tells us which instrument is most difficult to teach in a distance setting, and what music he’s looking forward to performing once the band gets back together.
