They are known by many different names and titles. Education support professionals, school support staff, nurses, secretaries, bus drivers, custodians, paras, teachers’ aides, food services, security and more. Mostly, though, they are known as friends. To the students for whom they care so diligently, to administration, to teachers and to parents. They are the glue that hold our schools together. Without them, our system of public education would not function.
We at North Dakota United seek to honor all of our ESPs’ service to their schools and their communities. Each year, we award our NDU ESP of the Year award to one worthy professional in the state, who has proven to be the difference-maker for their colleagues and for students. They have gone above and beyond in changing lives for the better. The ESP of the Year award is one small token of how much they mean to our union of educators and public employees, and to all of the people in our state who depend on their dedication to students.
Nominations are now open for the 2019 NDU ESP of the Year award. CLICK HERE for more information, and to download the nomination form. The deadline for nominations will be Nov. 1, 2018. Nominees must be members of NDU to qualify for this award.
