Dear teachers and education support professionals,
This 2020 American Education Week is unlike any we have ever experienced. Teachers and education support professionals have been working tirelessly to deliver outstanding educational services, under very difficult circumstances, for the past nine months. Despite working through the pandemic, our members have delivered on their commitments to their students, their students’ families and their communities.
Now, more than ever, I want to thank each of you for the work you do to ensure that the children and young people of North Dakota receive the very best education possible.
Make no mistake about it, the work you do every day fulfills the promise that we make to our future. Your work makes it possible for thousands of North Dakotans to, attain their goals, live their dreams and become contributing members of our society. And since no one gets to their career without going through yours, your efforts make an undeniable and positive impact on our communities, state and nation.
In short, teachers and education support professionals provide the foundation upon which this nation’s future is built. I know that you do not seek awards or constant recognition for the excellent work you do but believe me when I say that you have certainly earned them. So today, among everything else you are doing for others, take a little time to celebrate your accomplishments and know that all of us appreciate you now more than ever.
Thank you for all you do, all you will do, and for your membership in North Dakota United.
